SFA (School Food Authority) Accommodation Plan SY 2025-2026

School Year (SY) 2025-2026 Buy American accommodation process pursuant to 7 CFR 210.21(d)(8) and 7 CFR 220.16(d)(8).

The first threshold limit for non-domestic food purchases will be implemented beginning in SY 2025-2026, where non-domestic food purchases by the SFAs cannot exceed the annual threshold of 10 percent of total commercial food expenditures. USDA is allowing temporary accommodation from the threshold requirement of 10 percent non-domestic purchases for SY 2025-2026 per the SP 09-2025 memo and has established a streamlined accommodation process. The streamlined accommodation process will allow SFAs to temporarily exceed the 10 percent threshold while making progress towards coming into compliance with the Buy American threshold requirement.

SFAs seeking a temporary accommodation for the SY 2025-2026 Buy American Threshold must complete the form below for submission to the IDOE for review. This form must be completed by school staff, not an FSMC representative.
